Chapter Twenty Three

"Baby calm down... you will find your little sister..."

I shook my head stubbornly at my girlfriend, "we should have by now... she's scared.. God how can my parents be so stupid....."

She pulled me into a hug, "we will find her okay..."

I hugged her back and held on for a little while. Trying to calm my mind down, coz now it was all over the place and thinking the unthinkable.

That she could get r***d and killed or kidn*pped or anything these sick people do out at night. I mean we live in a f****d up world, where if they find a dead body in the morning they blame the person and ask why they were out at night? Was that the right question to ask? Is it okay to always be indoors because you are scared you'll be murdered brutally if you go out at night?

I have never heard a saying that at night people should lock themselves in because they might get killed for it.. people shouldn't be walking in fear because of some sick human who prey after other human beings. We should stop blaming the victims all the time...

If a person died at night and you ask where were they going at that time of the night, you should be ashamed of yourself.. or maybe you should ask yourself a smart question.. where were the people who killed her going at that time of the night? Or were they the only people who were legalized to be walking at night?

Kat pulled away, "you are awfully quiet....."

I sighed trying to forget about the debate I was having in my head and deciding not to tell her coz she was going to say I'm crazy, "shouldn't you be sleeping?"

"And let you deal with this alone? Baby never... I'll be here for you.. always..."

We were outside one of my sister's best friend home looking for her. Her phone has been off since in the morning, and now it was 22:29 pm....it was getting late and scarier.....

I hugged her this time around and kissed her neck, "I am so blessed to have you in my life..."

She giggled, "I'm the blessed one..."

"Can you stop touching each other and come up with a plan to locate your sister..." Maud said joining us. She has been very helpful and she seemed more worried.. I swear she was like a family and the way she cared about me and my sister was just amazing... She was a true friend.

I pulled away from Kat and tried to think about my sister. Her friends and people she trusted.

"We already went to her girlfriend and the poor girl is freaking out now... we went to her best friends and both of them know nothing too and we went to her secret place, which isn't so secretive now thanks to Thandy... And we found nothing... where could she be then?" Maudy asked and I thought back to my conversations with Cindy.. who she talked about most and surprisingly the name "Fischer..." kept on popping up...

I looked at my girlfriend and my best friend, "Fischer... that name keeps on popping up and I don't know why?"

"Why don't you call Nandi and ask her what that name is...?" My girlfriend asked and I smiled at her smart ass.

My phone was already in my hand, so I just dialled my little sister's girlfriend..

"Did you find her?" The girl asked on the first ring, Like she was just waiting for her phone to ring..

My heart broke at her question, "Honey no... I wanna know if the name Fischer rings a bell to you.... She mentioned it quite a few times..."

"Oh fuck...." She said and then, "I'm sorry for swearing.. Fischer is some i***t guy who wanted her and they ended up being friends.. God why didn't I think of him?"

I sighed in relief as if we already found her, "okay... can you give me his address or his numbers...."

"Sent.. You'll receive then both... I hope she's there..."

I smiled, "you are a darling..." And then I hung up. I turned to Maudy and Kat and they looked at me anxiously waiting for what I had to say.

"So...?"

I opened my messages, "okay I have this guy's number and address.. what should we do? Call or just rock up there?"

My girlfriend took my phone and then hers out too, she copied the number to her phone and dialled it..

Maudy said, "I guess we should call then..."

I laughed at her a bit. She looked distracted. I put my hand around her, "she is okay... we will find her okay..."

She nodded, "yeah.. we have to find her..." the last part she said more to herself, I hugged her as I heard Kat talk on the Phone.

"I love you Maud.. And thank you for everything.."

"It's nothing... you would have done the same..."

I pulled away when my girlfriend said bye on the Phone, she looked at us and sighed, "okay.. she's okay, I just talked to her..."

"Lets go fetch her then..." Maud said and Kat stopped her,"no.. that's not a good idea, Like I said, I talked to her and she isn't okay, I had to calm her down and promise that I'll not tell her parents where she is.."

My best friend sighed and took my phone from Kat then she walked a distance from us. I looked at Kat, "and you missy... you are just a dream come true..."

My baby shook her head, "I'm just glad she's safe baby... And I'm more glad you decided to run to me yesterday... I don't think I can handle not knowing where you are. I'd just go crazy... even if you were gone for three hours..."

I pulled her face to mine and kissed her, "I love you too... I need to call her girlfriend and tell her she okay before she freaks out like you would..."

I went to Maud and I took my phone. She was on her phone talking very seriously,

'are you sure? I can come fetch you....?' I heard her whisper and then she said, 'yeah I understand.. no I'm just glad you are... okay... me too'

I seriously wondered who she was talking to. But I dialled my sister's girlfriend...

"Sis'Thandy..."

"She's okay baby.. she's there..."

"God.. thank God.. they are not answering my calls though..."

I sighed, she didn't wanna talk to anyone, "She didn't talk to me at all.. She talked to my girlfriend... She doesn't wanna talk to anyone.. And please don't tell anyone where she is at..."

"Okay.. thank you so much..."

When I hang up Maudy hung up too. She looked f****d up. I furrowed my brows even though she couldn't see me, "what is wrong with you ass...?"

She shook her head, "nothing... I'm good.."

"Who was that... on the Phone?"

"Umhh... someone..." She said and then started walking towards my girlfriend. I shrugged and went to hug Kat, "thank you..."

"Will you call your parents?"

"Not in the mood...."

"Should I do it...?" She asked and I looked at her, "are you sure?"

She nodded, "Your mom though...."

I handed her my phone and she dialled my mom. Her left hand was over my shoulder pulled me into a tight hug and I had both my hands around her waist. The right hand was holding my phone as she made the call...

"Mrs Phakathi, it's Kat... I called to say we have found your daughter's whereabouts, she is safe...."

'Kat? Thandy's girlfriend?' I heard my Maa ask and Kat nodded, "yes ma'am... Sindy didn't sound okay on the Phone and she specifically asked not to tell you where she was.. but she is okay I called to ease your minds..."

'thank you Kat.. Where is Thandy...'

I shook my head the moment I heard my mom ask for me, Kat sighed, "she just fell asleep now... I'll take her back to my place and hopefully bring her and Sindy tomorrow morning..."

'Thank you so much... thank you Kat... bye' Maa said and Kat hung up..

She kissed my forehead, "Lets go home...."

I smiled and went to her car. Maudy was already inside looking better now. Kat opened the door for me and I kissed her nose then sat down. She came the other side and got it.

She started driving and it was awfully quiet. She sighed after a while, "guys she's okay... please relax... please..."

"Yah she's okay... I was really worried..." Maudy said and my baby smiled, "I could tell.. but she's okay.. you guys will see her tomorrow..."

She parked outside Maud's and then we drove back to her complex.

"Your mom sounded nice..."

I shrugged, "I guess she is..."

She laughed and removed the top cover in bed, "but baby she is...."

I slid into bed still fully clothed and my girlfriend pushed me out until I fell on the ground, I gasped at her, "Baby what the fuck...." Kat was so childish..

She laughed, "It's the fuck.... take off your clothes..."

I got up, lazily sat at the corner of the bed and whined, "you could have said that instead of doing this Shit... now I'm hurt..."

She crawled to me and pulled me by my waist, "Where does it hurt baby?"

"On my torso...."

She kissed my neck, "pecks of having a Dr as a girlfriend... now I know all that you need is a good s*x and you'll be fine..."

Immediately a thought hit me and I smiled, "really?"

She nodded and kissed my neck again... I got up and stood on top of the bed. Her smiled grew wider when she saw me strip my clothes off. Slowly making sure that I torture her ass..

She'd wanna touch me but I shook my head and said not until I was fully naked.

She got up into a sitting position and I was already totally naked above my waist, so I pulled down my trouser and was only left with my underwear.

I slowly danced to her and stranded her legs in between mine as I sat on top of her..

She giggled adorably and kissed my chest. I smiled, "do you like this baby?"

After a few seconds I heard her sigh and then she talked in a hoarse voice, "Baby what the f**k was that?"

She kissed my forehead, "you are my rock kid....let's hurry up and go fetch Cindy..."

I nodded and she washed my back. After fifteen minutes we were done and I was changed into my dress. Kat was in her doctor's clothes on...

We drove to Fischer's place and my sister came out. She got inside the car. I took time to examine her. She had bruises on her hands and one on the neck. I closed my eyes, "hey baby...."

"I don't wanna go back there....."

"What did they do to you?" I asked and she shook her head, "I don't... I'll find a place to...."

"No you won't... look I know this is hard... I know mostly that we don't know each other that much, but I wouldn't sleep well knowing you are out there in some place...." my girlfriend said and I looked at her. I smiled and held her hand. She winked at me and then looked at my little sister in a review mirror, "you can come stay with me and your sister...for now, the rest we will figure out after the graduations..."

"Baby...?"

"It's okay.... I really don't mind..." She said and I squeezed her hand, "you are the best... I love you so much...."

She leaned in and kissed my cheek, "I love you more..."

"You know... I wish I was like you. Brave and outspoken and just out there. I wish I had your confidence... your girlfriend is so amazing..." My sister said as the car started moving.

"You have us Sindy.. you are only 16 now...." I said and she sighed, "I wish I wasn't 16...."

I smiled, "you won't wish that when you are 23... but just enjoy your youth years babe...."

She kept quiet and Kat just drove silently. I kept on giving her a reassuring smile and she'd wink...

When we were approaching home, my sister spoke, "how is one expected to enjoy their youth years when they are boxed into being what they are not.. you should have seen him, how angry he was and how quick he was in taking out his belt... he hit me... so much, I cried and asked him to stop but he didn't.. he kept on hitting and hitting and..." then she kept quiet when the car came to a stop....

She looked outside and shook her head, "I'm not going back there.... they said I can go to hell... well they can...."

Tears were threatening to escape but I held it in together, "I'm going to get some of your staff..."

I opened the door and got out. Only to hear another door slam. I look behind me and found Kat following. I furrowed my brows at her, "Baby?"

She shrugged, "I am not letting you go in there alone.. over my dead body babe..."

I smiled and motioned for her to follow me. She did, "okay babe in case I beat your dad in there for what he did to your little sister.... I love you so much..."

I laughed, "I love you more..."

I opened the front door and was met with my parents looking at us... My father's eyes right on me, "what is she doing here?"

I knew he meant Kat.. And Kat was standing next to me fearlessly. I looked at Maa Sophia, "Maa... this is Kat.... Umhh.. Sindy is in the car she doesn't...."

"Can this woman get out of my house......" My father yelled..

"She is here with me dad... She isn't lost or wondering.. She is my girlfriend..."

After I uttered those words my dad took a step towards me and Kat stepped in front of me......
