A few days earlier...
"So why are we here?" Axel asks from behind me.
"You're already mated to her and have a child. What more do you want?" Colton asks as he yawns and leans against a nearby wall.
"Yeah. Our kind doesn't really get married. So why do you want to?" Axel adds.
"Because I do. And Emily is.... normal." I say looking around the jewelry store at the humans around. "She's been thru so much that I just want to give her one day that is all about her and celebrates her," I explain.
"So much for 'not hitting your knees for some girl'" Colton comments mimicking my voice.
