The next few days were normal. I had spent most of the days with Jean and even accompanied her to her therapy sessions. She’s been feeling better and even better with each passing day. But Dr. Canero told me that she needs one last therapy—something that they have been trying to postpone for years because Jean would get extremely hysterical.
“Do you have time to accompany her?” Mr. Peralta asked me. We were standing side by side outside their terrace with a glass of Scotch. I came here earlier to visit Jean but since Kiara came, she had to attend to her first.
Kiara seemed so shocked to see me earlier. She never knew about my relationship with Jean and I’m so certain that if she learns everything, she’ll be even more shocked.
I turned to Mr. Peralta and nodded without hesitatio
