The next days were quiet. Dr. Sullivan said that it would be nice for Jean to be well-adjusted to the environment before we finally start with the therapy. So, all Jean and I did was to go to the lake, have some picnics and even bathe.
Jean looked so happy and I am contented. She leaned her head on my shoulder as we both watched the sunset. So far, this has been our favorite pastime. It’s relaxing and I can see how Jean loves it.
I turned to her and saw her smiling with her eyes fixated on the view. My heart automatically melted as I saw her smiling. Since meeting her again, I have only seen her genuine smile a few times. Sure, she laughs and giggles but this smile…I want to see this for the rest of my life.
