Alexis' POV

I let out a relief sigh after James closed the door of the room he gave to me and left me here.

After he harassed me, he brought me to this room and said that I must stay here.

I shook my head then sighed.

Napanguso ako nang maramdaman ko ang pagkalam ng aking sikmura. HIndi nga pala ako nakakain ng maayos kanina. Tch!

Napatingin ako sa paligid. Agad akong natigilan nang makakita ng intercom malapit sa pinto.

Tumayo ako at paika-ikang lumapit sa intercom. Maybe, I could have something to eat through this. Hindi ako makakatakas dito na nanghihina at sugatan pa. Papagalingin ko na lang muna ang sugat ko bago magplano ng escape plan ko sa mansion na 'to.

Pinindot ko ang button na may nakasulat na 'Kitchen area' at nagsalita.

"Ahm, hello?"

"Hello, madame. Do you need anything?" tanong ng babaeng sumagot.

Napataas ang aking kaliwang kilay. Wow. Mala-five star hotel yata 'tong mansion na 'to.

Napangiti na lang ako nang makaisip ng kapilyahan. I've read so many food magazines. Baka dito ay makain ko ang hindi ko nakakain sa tunay kong mundo.

"Ahm, yeah. I'm hungry. Could you bring me a two pieces of steak, two sunny eggs, a bowl of seasonal fresh fruits, one spanish omelette, two banana nutella pancakes, two servings of fried chorizo paella balls, one brioche bread, three slice of smoked ham, and lastly, four serving of wild mushroom carbonara."

Biglang tumahimik ang intercom. Agad kong tinakpan ang aking bibig dahil sa natatawa ako. Lahat ba naman kasi ng sinabi ko ay hindi ko pinag-isipan kung ilang servings.

"Okay, madamme. Where is your room?"

Agad akong natigilan. Ang tanga ko talaga. Magpapadala na nga lang ako ng pagkain dito, hindi ko pa alam kung saan parte ng third floor ang kuwarto ko. Tch!

"I'm Alexis Jean. Iyong mortal guest niyo sa packhouse. Hindi ko alam kung anong room number ako pero nasa third-floor lang ang kuwarto ko," tanging nasabi ko.

"Okay, madamme. Wait mo na lang po 'yong order mo," sabi ng babae sa intercom.

Napatango-tango na lang ako hanggang sa makaupo sa kama.

Sana naman ay hindi sila abutin ng ilang oras. Gutom na talaga ako.

James' POV

"James!"

I stopped walking in the front door of my packhouse before turning my body to see my Beta who called me using his annoyed voice.

Napatitig ako kay Dello. Bakas sa mukha niya ang inis habang may hawak na isang piraso ng papel at pinakita iyon sa akin.

"Anong mayro'n diyan?" tanong ko na kaniya namang ikinaasar.

"Anong tingin ng babaeng 'yon sa atin?! Halos lahat ng pina-order niya, kailangang pagtuunan ng mga chief natin. Ilan sa mga ingredients ng mga pina-order niya ay wala tayo!" Asar niyang sinipa ang isang lata na nakita niya.

Napangisi na lang ako. That mortal woman is really something. Kunsabagay, Nexxus said that Alexis didn't finish her foods. Namumula pa ang kaliwang pisngi ng loko habang kausap ako.

"Just let her be. Send some travellers in the human world to buy and complete the ingredients. Also tell the travellers to buy some clothes for her. I will be gone for two months so I want our guest to enjoy her stay here."

Still annoyed, Dello turned his back on me before walking away. Natatawang napailing na lang ako.

Hiro suddenly snorted. Hating the idea that we will leave for two months just to help the King's warriors to clean the westbound part of his kingdom dahil sa sunud-sunod na paglusob ng mga rebeldeng werewolves sa parteng 'yon ng kaharian.

Isa kasing messenger ng Hari ang dumating kanina habang busy ako kay Alexis. Dello linked to me that a messenger was sent from the King at iyon ang mensahe.

"Can we make two months to become three weeks, bud?" I asked to my innerwolf and he just answered me with a snort again.

I shook my head in disbelief. I can't believe na mayro'n akong innerwolf na walang kuwentang kausap pero kung makahanap sa mortal na babaeng kasalukuyang binibigyan ng problema ang aking Beta, halos pasakitin na ang ulo ko buong araw.

Minsan tuloy ay napapaisip ako na baka hindi mate ni Nexxus si Alexis dahil hindi ko makita sa kanilang dalawa ang epekto ng mate's pull.

Instead, sa akin nagri-react ang katawan ng babaeng mortal though hindi ko siya tuluyang maangkin dahil sa nako-confirm lang na mate mo ang isang taong-lobo or mortal kapag sinabi ng innerwolf mo.

At iyon ang hindi ko maintindihan dahil apektado ako sa nakakairitang ugali ni Hiro towards Alexis. He wants Alexis, no. He's not the only one cause I also want her pero hindi niya kinokompirma na si Alexis ay mate namin. At isa pa, Nexxus is here. His mate is Alexis, he said. He's my closest packmember and a friend.

I admit I'm attracted to her. Her scent is enough to make my whole system go crazy. Her warm prescence could make my heart skip a beat for no reason. I can't even think straight because I ended up fantasizing her every f*****g minutes.

Simula nang dumating siya, walang oras na lumilipas na hindi ko hinahanap-hanap ang amoy niya.

And all of it is so wrong and uncomfortable because there's no assurance that Alexis is my mate until Hiro will confirm it to me that the mortal woman is our mate.

And now, I think makakatulong ang pag-aalis ko ngayon nang sa gano'n ay malaman ko kung bakit ganito ako umakto mula sa babaeng 'yon.

Maybe, pissing off my innerwolf while we're in the middle of a fight could make him speak about why does he want Alexis so much.

Just, maybe... Alexis is my mate. and not Nexxus' mate.

Alexis' POV

Inabot ng tatlong oras ang paghahantay ko sa pagkain ko hanggang sa mai-deliver ang lahat sa aking kuwarto. Medyo nagulantang pa nga ako dahil sa sunud-sunod na pagpasok ng mga hindi ko kilalang taong-lobo sa kuwarto ko habang may hawak na tray kung saan nakalagay ang mga sinabi kong pagkain.

Napalunok na lang ako habang nakatitig sa mga pagkain na nilalagay na nila sa isang napakahabang mesa na ipinasok nila sa kuwarto ko.

Oh, God! Those foods are very inviting. Gusto ko na sila sunggaban pero pinigilan ko ang sarili ko at hinantay silang tapusin ang paghahain sa harap ko.

Huling pumasok ang suplado na si Dello. Nakapameywang pa ang loko nang tumigil sa harapan ko at binigyan ako ng masamang tingin.

I rolled my eyes together with my head then showed him my smirk.

Nah.

Hindi ko na kailangang matatakot sa kanilang lahat. Na-realized ko kasi habang naghihintay ako ng tatlong oras sa kuwarto na ito na, hindi nila ako pwedeng galawin lalo na't ang alam nila ay mate ako ni Pablo or whatever his name is.

Second, I'm a guest dahil sa sinabi nila na ako ang unang mortal na nakapasok sa mundo nila at kagaya nga ng sinabi ni Nexxus, hindi ako makalabas for no reason.

And last but not the least. I forgot who I am.

I mean, I had completely forgotten who I am though it's not literally forgotten who I am, I mean.

And I'm Alexis Jean. A woman who only wanted to be a psychologist. A curmudgeon lady who didn't even had a friend in her twenty-seven years of existence.

I've realized that I had forgotten who I am from the start that I came in this very packhouse of Dark Claws they said.

And for me, I think I'm strong enough to handle all the disturbing things I'm experiencing right now.

Dello's eyes turned to slit when he noticed me smirking at him. "Now you had the guts to show that smirk at me, woman. You're lucky that alpha James wants you to feel comfortable in our packhouse."

My forehead knotted.

Ano daw kamo? James wanted me to feel comfortable? Paano?!

I breathed heavily before letting it all out.

Siraulo yata 'yong si James. Kakasungkal niya sa leeg at shoulder blades ko, sa tingin niya komportable ako do'n? Tch! Lunatic.

Dello grinned. "If only he's not tolerating this kind of your bitchy thing, ordering many kinds of foods for your breakfast, I could have kill you now."

I snickered. "Well, unfortunately. You can't," I said in a way I could piss him off more, emphasizing the two words 'you can't'.

He tsked. "Now, now, Miss Alexis. Hindi libre ang lahat ng pina-order mo," he said that made stunned.

His lips turned to a smirk. "Shock, aren't we?"

I cleared my throat. Trying to save myself in the humiliation Dello gave me.

"I know! Mabuburo lang din naman ako sa kuwarto na 'to kaya maganda na tumulong ako sa mga maids niyo dito," palusot ko.

He just nodded and give me a creepy smile. "Very well said. I'm not alpha James and our Alpha will be gone for two months so take your time savoring all the things you wanted to do today because tomorrow, you will be helping all of the Omega to do their chores," he said before turning his back on me.

Napatanga na lang ako dahil sa sinabi niya.

James will be gone for two months?

A foreign feeling crept to every fiber of my being.

"And oh, by the way." Dello faced me again and forcefully put a sticky note on my forehead that made cringed because of annoyance.

Inis na tinanggal ko ang sticky note sa aking noo habang tinititigan ng masama ang naglalakad na papalayong bulto ni Dello.

Napabuntong-hininga na lang ako habang tumitingin sa mga naghain ng pagkain ko na ngayon ay lumalabas na sa kuwarto ko. Sinarado ng pinakahuling lumabas ang pinto kaya hindi na ako nakagalaw sa kinauupuan ko.

Nakakunot-noong tinignan ko ang nakasulat sa sticky note.

"I will be gone for a long time but I'll try to make my job done quickly so I that I could enjoy your scent again. Be a good girl or I'll ravish you. Your Alpha, James." I read, whispering.

I crimpled the sticky note and throw it nowhere.

Hah!

Anong akala niya sa akin? Pababayaan ulit siyang makalapit sa akin?

"No way!" I said to the thin air and grabbed the fork for the wild mushroom carbonara.

Minutes later, I found myself giggling because I'm eating the best foods I had ever tasted.

Aalilain ako ni Dello?

Nah.

Then I'll order many kind of foods so that I could piss him off while he is pissing me off too.

Let's see how long he can endure me.
