Maksim’s POV
I was already planning on dealing with Morgan and Mallory myself when Jaden called me off. We already got the information on where they were staying. I was going to end them both and make them disappear forever. I didn’t want Jaden to have to kill his own sister. I didn’t want him to feel guilty about protecting his mate. But his words made sense.
I understood. When those warriors from Trevor’s pack tried to hurt Isabel, I killed them all, and felt no guilt, even before I realized that she was my mate. I’m even more protective of her now that we are bonded. So I get where he is coming from with this. He wants to deal with them, and I will back him up completely.
The first thing we did was confirm which apartment they lived in, which was easier than it sounds.
