I watched the representative for the Council arrive, along with the two men sent after Isabel. They both had backpacks in the SUV, and I already knew they contained the tools they would want to use on my mate. Which told me one thing: they had planned to torture her before ending her. Luna Candice was as vicious as the rumors suggested.
We already had a group ready to deal with them. There were several warriors and Chase out here with us. They were stationed around the house that Cara had created for us.
