Maksim’s POV
When Isabel linked me, I took off from the meeting in Alpha Jaxon’s office. My mate needed me. I already knew who she was talking about when she said two she-wolves were giving them a hard time. Most she-wolves avoided my sister, as she could defend herself. She always held back, but the fact that they were out there alone was worrisome. I needed to get to them, to make sure that nothing happened.
Their being confronted like this worried me. I think that they knew Melina was hurt and couldn’t fight like she used to. If that’s the case, I’m going to find out who told them that she was pregnant. They put her in danger, and I wasn't going to let that slide. They aren’t supposed to do anything like that, but there are a lot of jealous she-wolves in the world. I know
