Melina’s POV
Two Weeks Later:
Things have gone well the last two weeks. I was diligent in taking rest and increasing my fluid intake. I only got up to use the bathroom. I was even more appreciative of Isabel after making the discovery. Everyone was thrilled to hear that the baby was safe and well. I think the Goddess sent Isa there to help me.
We didn’t mention it out loud. The discussion would have been hard enough to get through, but Isa knew how much I appreciated her. I think the violent plans those men had for me, coupled with my injury, would have been disastrous for me and the baby. I would never be able to pay her back for what she did for me, but I would look for any opportunity to do so. Isa is my sister now, as much as my other sisters were.
