It’s been two and a half months since we made the pack official. I have been working hard on my plans and on Xander’s dad’s new hotel and casino. I groaned as I stood up from the chair. I walked to the window as I see lightning light up the sky. It has just started raining and I wished my mate was here with me, but he has been out looking for the rogue king. I’m so engrossed on the scenery in front of me that I didn’t hear the door open. Arms wrap around me and I jump, but I relax when I feel the sparks.
“I called your name, but you didn’t answer me” Xander whispered in my ear while he rubbed my belly.
“I’m sorry. I was engrossed on the scenery” I said gesturing out the window.
“I’ve missed you” he said turning m around before kissing my lips. He tastes like hot chocolate.
