"You're quiet," I said to Selene as I looked at her, hoping that she would find some s**t to annoy me with.
"I was just thinking about what I did. You don't hate me, right?"
I frowned at her, the playful edge in my tone fading. “Hate you?” I repeated, shaking my head. “Selene, if I hated you, you’d know.”
She chewed on her bottom lip, avoiding my gaze. “I don’t know… I just—what I did, it was reckless. I wasn’t thinking.”
I let out a harsh breath, running a hand through my hair. “Yeah, it was reckless.” I leaned closer, tilting my head. “But do you really think that’s enough to make me hate you?”
