      Philip    I went to the dungeon to talk to Victoria again.  Even if we were lost forever as a couple, as mates, I would investigate it further and help her. I was still half-convinced of her innocence, yet I was fully convinced that I cared for her, that I felt something strong for her, even now that there wasn’t a mate bond between us. Despite any soulmate magic, I felt for Victoria. How I regret my stupid and rash decision. How can a few words, a moment destroy someone’s life?
