Sunday morning, and the dog snored loudly at their feet. All the hectic changes in his once stable, predictable routine had exhausted Faulkner. Liam should have been tired as well. In the last three days, he’d been going to bed in the wee hours of the morning. But he felt fantastic, as though he’d been put through a time warp machine and come out of it shaved of a decade or two. Kieran and he hadn’t eaten anything but fruit and sandwiches, and when they did stop to put something other than themselves into their mouths, it was always at the most unreasonable time.
