Chapter 10 Faulkner ran to the window and howled. At the kitchen, Liam looked up. At last, Kieran was home. Liam immediately stopped what he was doing—looking at program requirements on the university website—and stood, walking to the front door. He pulled the dog back a little. “Yes, yes,’’ he told Faulkner, “he’s home. He’s here.” He opened the door. “Hey, you,” he whispered, stepping aside to let Kieran in. He noticed Kieran looked tired.
