Chapter 11 Liam had been on the phone for a few minutes, scheduling an interview for a possible job opportunity, when Faulkner ran to the living room window and barked. Liam tried to hear the woman over the dog and pressed the phone closer to his ear. “Eight, you say?” he shouted. “I could be there, yes.” He walked to the window and checked the driveway. Netty was stepping out of her truck. “Thank you,” Liam muttered to the woman on the line. “I’ll see you then.” He hung up and shook his head. Netty was making her way to the front door.
