Haven and I walk slowly to the house. The clearing erupts with a cacophony of sound as everyone start to speak at the same the time. They are excited and curious about the creature in the triangle and the goddess.
So many things have happened this night that I feel exhausted just thinking about it.
“Come,” I tell Haven before every wolf rushes us to get close to Haven. He’s just defeated a creature that looks like a big ass rogue right before them.
There is no denying his power now.
But we don’t have the strength to handle then right now.
We need a moment alone to recoup and come back down from the adrenaline I can feel pumping in my vein. I didn’t even have to fight but I feel exhausted. I need a moment to myself.
I am sure Haven feels the same way too.
