Blake has an extra spring in his step as he walks across the dew-covered grass towards the pack house. He doesn’t need Sam’s senses to know where Vance is. If he didn’t arrive at the hospital after Indi’s request, Vance will only be in one place. Blake walks straight to Vance’s office and opens the door without knocking. Vance sits in the semi-darkness, only a single lamp illuminates the space, he sits staring at the door with his hands interlaced in front of him, his dark eyes appear to be endless black holes and Blake sees something different in them this time.
