Lara's P.O.V
Evan smiled at me like he was a proud father watching his daughter accomplish everything she worked so hard for. Kelly, however, looked like she had eaten a sour lemon. In all honesty, she has expressed to me a million and more times exactly what she thought of Jasmine and Monica.
"You're right, she lost more than she hoped she would. Now, this isn't part of my profession, but I do have to let you know something just so that you are prepared. If Monica turns state witness, she might not get that much jail time. Are you okay with that?"
"I know how the law works, Evan, but yes, I guess I am okay with it. I know many people will never understand what I am about to say (I looked at Kelly), but if you look at things the way Monica looked at it, then could you really blame her?"
