Even when Susan was gone, she had not left my shadow alone. She would still come for me and would try to separate me and Dane. The following day, Dane had an unexpected visitor.
Just when we think of the devil, it would come and appear himself. Or by herself. No, not Susan coming back from the dead, but it was Esmeralda. She was causing a scene at the reception, so I asked the receptionist to let her up to the CEO floor. It may be a good time to observe or get to squeeze out information from her.
I was sure Dane would have contacted her already, but he got busy as soon as we got in the office. He also wanted to speak to Esmeralda at the soonest possible time. However, if he prioritized work, that would mean this lady would have to take the back seat.
