I didn’t want to talk to that Esmeralda again, but I had to. I was not good at confrontations, as I get rattled easily. It was different when Dane was beside me. His presence would calm me down. Well, so far my confrontations were only with Susan and with my ex-best friend, Brianna. All confrontations were with Dane, so good luck to my call to the dragon lady.
I didn’t know what happened, but when I got to talk to Esmeralda and told her that Mr. Romano had cancelled his appointment in the afternoon to accommodate her, she was like a purring kitten to me.
What had happened to the dragon?
I did not tell her about Dane’s threat. She didn’t have to know it. However, if she had pushed my buttons, I would have told her.
