THE crowd clamored the moment the combatants came into view. They yelled for the triumph that the troop has accomplished.
A week ago, they left to defeat the lord of a small domain. There was no news for days until one of the soldiers came to inform them that the troop is coming home from a fruitful battle.
As expected, Summer came back successfully. From the smile on the face of the crowd and the incoming soldiers, the liability of the war was from zero to none. Except for the disarray in their armor, the warriors appeared fine.
“Do not be so proud. She’s not here for you.”
Smile gone, Nike glanced at the domineering man standing beside her. Like most of the spectators, the gods waited for the victors to reach the podium.
