DESPITE the grime on her skin, the exhilaration is plastered on Summer’s face. Not only on hers but also on every face in her troop.
The week-long battle has been concluded. The sleepless nights have paid off. Finally, they are going home.
Again, she won the battle she led like the many wars before. Some were badly injured but no one passed away.
“Help the injured. We’ll be leaving in half an hour.” She declared at the fellow Amazons.
There was a hero’s welcome waiting for them when they reached the fortress.
The sound of the drums and trumpets resonated on the island. The sss warriors lined as they walked towards the citadel where General Vienna and the queen were waiting for them.
The two women smiled at Summer proudly.
“Welcome back, child.”
