CHAPTER 3: LOSING CONTROL

Xel’s POV

“Come to my office, princess”, Dy mindlinked me and I instantly ran towards his office in my vampire speed.

“Dy !”, I smiled and hugged my sweet Alpha daddy. He was adorable when he was not in Alpha mode and Dad would tease him often about it which I must say was so cute.

I wish I have such a sweet relationship with my mate too. Sigh !

“I want you to go on a mission tomorrow night”, Dy said. “Someone is occupying the northern frontier illegally and illegal arms and drugs including Wolfsbane have been reported to be smuggled in and out of that place”, he explained.

“Northern frontier ?”, I questioned with a raised eyebrow.

“Yes. My spies informed me that the cave behind the waterfall might be their hideout but I am sensing that it is a trap for us as Dad Bryant said he can’t detect much movement there but nothing else is making sense”, Dy answered. “I want you to kill off those rogues if they are illegally doing something which might hurt innocents”, he instructed.

“So shoot at sight orders follow ?”, I confirmed.

“Yes”, he replied and took me along with him to the dining hall.

I stopped in my tracks when I saw him sitting right across my seat laughing and joking with everyone and as if sensing my presence in the room, he stopped mid sentence abruptly and excused himself to get away from the place.

Fucking bastard.

He fucking ran away to his room and before he could close his door, I managed to sneak inside at my insanely fast vampire speed and caged him between my arms and the door behind him.

“What the fuck, Xelina ? Get out of my fucking room”, he growled.

“What is your problem, huh ? With all due respect, “Uncle Jax” it’s been almost 18 years and not once have you appreciated my presence around you. Is there something that you are hiding ?”, I asked as I stared straight into his eyes and leaned closer to him.

For a moment we both were breathing heavily in the highly tense atmosphere and Jax tried to step back if it was possible but when he realized that he couldn’t move back because of the door behind him, he suddenly snapped out of his trance state and indignantly opened his mouth.

“Yeah ! Did I not mention that your existence is immaterial to me and I really couldn’t care less about what you do or where you are. So try to be a good girl that you are not and stay away from me, mhmm ?”, he scowled and pushed me away to get out of my hold.

“You might keep denying me, Jax but your eyes say something else”, I smugged and he instantly turned around.

“It’s UNCLE JAX for YOU and stop the fuck about your nonsense. Don’t force me to throw you away from here”, he shouted.

“Tch. Tch. Tch. The coolest man of the family has quite a temper and as for leaving your room .…”, I stood in front of him in a jiffy and leaned to his ear to whisper. “ …. make me”, I whispered and smirked.

“Is that how you led on that poor football captain while whoring around with others ?”, he smirked back and crossed his arms.

“Awww are you jealous ?”, I sang out tauntingly but I was shaking with anger by now.

How dare he call me a whore ? Such a jerk !

“You wish baby girl”, he laughed and tried to walk around me but I quickly pushed him on the bed and withing a few milliseconds I was straddling him.

We looked at each other for sometime, lost in each others eyes and I leaned in to his ear and whispered, “Frankly, I really do wish that but you are such a jerk to not realize it”, I smiled.

“Once a whore, always a whore”, he spat in disgust and turned his head away.

“Once a jerk, always a jerk”, I screamed back in return and started punching him on his chest. “I fucking hate you so much. I wish you die and if you can’t die, then I wish I die coz I bloody hell do not deserve to be treated like this”, I shrieked out loud.

“I am so glad that finally we are at the same wavelength”, he smugged and flipped us over so that he was hovering over me.

Flipping me over is not an easy task but Jax was the strongest Alpha wolf in the pack and it was no surprise that he was able to dominate over me presently.

“Yeah ? Me too. Now you watch me, Jax Stone. I will move on and get over you so fast that I will forget about your very existence and when I will find my mate in the next five days, I am sure that you will become a nobody to me”, I roared out in fury.

Jax suddenly went stone still and it felt like he was trying to control his wolf.

“KAIIIII HELP MEEEEEE”, Jax screamed while shaking furiously and as his room door burst open, Jax too lost control and shifted into his wolf at the same time and it seemed like the wild animal was simply out of control by now.

Dy shifted into his huge black wolf too and leaped across the bed taking his brother in his hold and the wolves rolled over the floor, fighting for dominance over each other.

“Get out of here princess”, Dy mindlinked me while trying to control the angry Alpha wolf beneath him and I did what my father asked me to do because I was taught to never question back my parents’ decisions at such times.

They claimed that everything that they asked me to do was a well thought of decision and I should be quick to act and not waste precious moments to rebel in dire situations as these.

I watched Dad Ty spring upstairs and rush to Jax’s room and as I ran away, I heard Jax’s wolf howl in piercing agony before absolute silence prevailed.

I shut my room door with urgency with a loud bang and dropped down on the floor against my door crying my heart out.

Fuck. I caused all this shit storm.

Now, everyone will know about my feelings for my Uncle and worst of all, he doesn’t even love me back.

He did nothing to hide his disgust !

Why should I stay here and pine away for someone who doesn’t love me back ?

My parents made me much more capable and stronger than this.

I swear I will love my mate like none other and get the love I deserve.

JAX STONE, I WILL ERASE YOU COMPLETELY FROM MY HEART AND MIND AND IF YOU EVER TRY TO WOO ME BACK, I MEAN IT WHEN I SAY THAT I WILL NOT GIVE EVEN ONE OUNCE OF SHIT ABOUT YOU AND YOUR PATHETIC EXISTENCE.
