Chapter 12

elbows and arms bent, supporting my entire weight which made me dropped my books and glasses. The strap of my bag fell off from my right shoulder. "Ouch!" I complained as I cursed out of pain. I slowly tried to sit properly and reached out, searching for my glasses. "This can't be happening," I murmured as I kept on looking for my glasses. I have very poor eyesight and I swear, I’ll soon switch to using contact lens. "Finally!" I exclaimed as I found my glasses and immediately put them back on. After my vision got better, I saw that it was the guy at the café standing in front of me. I felt irritated. He never apologized and didn't even help me find my glasses. He was just standing there, gawking at me, staring intently. This guy’s just a pretty face. He’s not a gentleman at all. I picked up my books, stood up, shook off the dust from my clothes and fix the bag strap on my shoulder. I was about to say something to him when he cut me off. "Watch where you're going, Miss," he said and left. I stood there dumbfounded, gaping and speechless, looking at his back moving away from me until he disappeared out of my sight. What the heck? Unbelievable! I snapped out of it and rushed to get to my car still swearing at that guy! That night, I kept getting distracted by what happened earlier. I tried to focus on studying for the exams, but the events kept flashing in my mind. In the end, I pulled an all-nighter just to finish reviewing another chapter. He’s a total jerk!
