These past 11 years have been a rollercoaster, but I am proud to say that I am 11 years clean and sober. I never went back. I chose my family over drugs. I will never disappoint them ever again. I won't say it has been easy either, I have had many dark days throughout these years where I cried and got angry, but I fought, mostly with myself. I had to get out of the negative head space, then all would be better. It has gotten easier as the years have passed though. Also I try not to think of the past, but sometimes like today, it randonly creeps back up. "Mom, tell Michael to stop being disgusting.
