I tried getting back into the swing of things. January passed in Lord Crowe’s home, and now it was February. There was still snow on the ground, and with Cadoc ignoring me, I’d gone from having friends to not having anyone. Even Audrey had become distant with me. I suspected this had to do with Cadoc spending time with Bexley Adams.
Welsh Weekly was now running pictures of them instead of us. So far, they’d been spotted at a coffee shop, a club, and a movie premiere. People freaked out about that because it had involved travel.
