RHETT’S POV
It was around eleven in the morning when I finally woke up. There was a subtle hangover headache and it took me a couple of seconds before I opened my eyes. My gaze fell on the other side of the bed. Of course, she didn’t come home. Not that we’d ever slept on the same bed. Usually, I take the couch but yesterday I’d been too drunk. And maybe I’d hoped she come home and join me in the bed. What happened yesterday? Memories flashed through my brain. From that sizzling kiss, to the jealousy, to her going away with someone else and to me coming home to a surprise visit from John.
