“I want to know specifically, who called Walters on the 9th about the time he would have arrived back at his cabin with Eunice. Find that, because that may be the key to this whole thing,” Mel instructed Janet and Shane.
The three of them sat at desks in the squad bay and started looking through the paperwork. Shane Harding had the records for Dale Walters. Faster than the other two, he said, “I’ve got the 9th right here. Walters didn’t make any calls that morning. Looks like he made one around 1:35 that afternoon...lasted a few of seconds. Must of got voice mail.”
“What number did he call?” Mel asked.
