My heart was pounding wildly. Cassius! Oh Gods! Why did he want to see my father about? I asked myself, but then I remembered. I went into their territory! This wasn’t going to end well. Did the vampires figure out who I was? They have been hunting me for years, but we always managed to slip away and those that we came into battle with never left to go back alive. My thoughts kept swirling and then a thought hit me. Would my father hand me over to them? Shaking the thought away, I flip my bed covers off and try to get out of bed. It hurt but I managed to get to my feet, and I stood there for a moment for the dizziness to go away. I clutched my side in pain but it was getting bearable and just as I was about to take a step, Amber came into the room with another tray in her hand
