ALPHA PHILLIP LUPIS POV Elaina went eerily quiet after she broke down and cried. I wasn’t sure which part upset her more, but I had a feeling that it had to do with some of the names I called out to her that perished in the attack all those years ago. Could one of them possibly be the father of her child. Could that be the reason that she ran away, that she saw him die and that made her flee. All these thoughts ran through my head as silent tears fell from her eyes whilst she looks at her hands instead of me. I understood why she wouldn’t have told me, but what baffled me is that she didn’t entrust her mother or sister. Maybe the father was already mated to another?
