“WHAT?” Yelled everyone in disbelief except Steve. He stood next to my mom and watched me with a strange expression. It was clear that he wasn’t surprised at what the alpha asked but it almost looked like he was unsure about it. “I’m sorry. Say again.” I utter in shock as I stared at a now smug looking alpha. “I want you to take over from me as the new alpha.” He stated.
