I wake up suddenly. My wolf alert. She's coming.
Right on que, a gush of liquid leaves my body and a sharp pain stabs my abdomen.
"Kea" I whisper, trying to wake my sleeping husband.
Except the dummy doesn't hear me and continues to snore lightly.
Still battling the pain, I manage to grab my pillow and swing it backward. It hits him right in the face, instantly waking him up.
"It's time" I whimper, his arms wrapping around my abdomen from behind.
"Breathe baby" he coaches me but I don't want any of it.
"Shut up. I know how to breathe. Get the doctor" I snap, my body contorting viciously.
Keaton doesn't even seem fazed by my outburst and I know it won't be the last one tonight.
