I have to quickly cover Taylor’s mouth before she screams any louder. We’re in the middle of the school hallway for crying out loud. People start looking at us but I just smile and wave them away, all the while keeping Taylor’s mouth shut.
“Taylor, cool it!” I hiss when people are dispersing and it’s just us two again. “People are gonna hear us and I’m not even supposed to be telling you about this!”
If the school was deserted yesterday, everyone seems to be coming back just fine today. The hallways are full as usual, and everyone’s getting ready to get to first period.
