Imani

"Sister, I have news. Meet me at our spot," my brother Armin mind links me. I hurry down and go meet with him. It must be something important if he wants to meet in private and away from the pack.

I arrive and he is pacing back and forth. "Imani, we have a problem!" that's not good. "What happened?" he shakes his head. "Axel found his mate." I stop dead in my tracks. "What b1tch is it so I can k1ll her?" he chuckles. "You won't even be able to go near her. He is already so over-protective of her. She shot him, and he stopped us from doing anything to her. She disrespected him infront of his pack members, and he allowed it. He even went as far as to threaten us about going against her." I don't care what bullsh1t my brother is saying. I will k1ll whoever that b1tch is. Axel is mine!

"Who is it, Armin?" he sighs. "Rosslyn from the midnight pack. The Alpha's sister," I growl. "That b1tch isn't even 18 years old yet. She can't do sh1t for Axel," my brother shrugs. "But he is already claiming her. He wants us to respect her and treat her as the future Luna. He also threatened us not to tell anyone she is his mate, so keep your mouth shut. It will be my a$$ if he finds out you know, and he won't be able to get the inside scoop anymore. I am just telling you so you can smarten up and figure out how to get him to mark you and take you as his mate. Sh1t, even just getting pregnant by him will do. He will fall in love with the pup, and the pack will put pressure on him to take you as a chosen mate. You are lucky that Rosslyn is young, otherwise, he would have already mated and marked her." He is right. "I have time. I will make him fall in love with me." We grew up together. We are close. I can easily bag him.

"He told us she is the next Luna, so he plans on accepting her when she turns 18, so get to work. Don't be a dumb b1tch. Figure out a way to get into his bed. Get pregnant. Do whatever you have to do to get us in a better position. If we can get you in there, we can k1ll him and his family and take over the pack. Everyone will be bowing down to us, but you need to smarten up, and not lose to a 16-year-old child." I nod, but the anger in me is rising. I am going to get rid of that little b1tch.

"I'll figure it out," I say. "Do it fast, because we are about to have the lotus festival, and I am sure she will be here, so get to work sis. I believe in you." I walk back towards the pack, letting my anger fuel me. I will get rid of that b1tch.

Alpha Axel

"Why don't you stay for dinner? As a thank you and an apology for my sister shooting you," I am thrilled. I will take any more time being near my mate. She makes my wolf stronger. "You aren't going to shoot me again, are you, Rosslyn?" she smirks. "Don't worry. You are safe. For now," she tells me. Raine chuckles. "I'm kidding." She places her small hand on my arm. "Seriously, thank you, Alpha Axel for coming back and helping our Alpha, even though I shot you. As long as you stay in your lane, it won't happen again." My wolf is having a blast hearing her drill into me, but he pouts when she removes her hand and we can no longer feel her warmth.

"Rossy, be nice." Raine tells her.

"Rossy, what about me? I came back with your uncle and our pack as soon as I heard that your pack was under attack." that b1tch a$$ mother*cker from earlier is back. "What about you?" she asks. "I'm your mate, you should be thanking me." She rolls her eyes and walks away. "This blobfish isn't going to leave her alone. We are going to have to get rid of him, but until then, we will have to keep an eye on him. He is being way too pushy with her, and I don't like it. I don't want to lose my patience in front of her," my wolf tells me.

"Gentlemen, you are some of the only men I feel are truthworthy at the moment. Please follow me " We follow Raine to his office.

He has papers scattered all over the place, and a board hung up on the wall. Ally vs Enemy and the names of different Alphas and packs are displayed on each side. He grabs a marker and adds my pack as an ally. What calls my attention the most is Alpha Solaman's face with a big red X on it.

I notice that he has a questionable side as well. He has packs that I am currently doing business with on that list.

We are here for an hour, going over what his father did, what he needs help with and what he plans on doing with the pack. He admits there's no money, because his father lost it all. He claims he is going to lose the pack if he doesn't figure something out.

He looks defeated.

I decide to front him the money and he can just pay me back when he can. I won't say this to him infront of everyone. I will wait until we are alone.

"Alright, Rosslyn just texted me that dinner is ready" he announces. I wait until everyone else walks out and I stop him from exiting. "We need to talk real quick in private." he nods and locks the door.

"What happens if you can't come up with the money?" He sighs. "I lose everything. The whole pack. We will have to move. I can't take my siblings to my mom's old pack. Its Saloman's pack. We would probably have to go to my aunt's pack. The rest of the pack would have to split up and go wherever they see fit." No, that can't happen.

"How about I bring my father and we figure out some numbers. I will give you the money and you can pay me back as you can. No pressure." He looks shocked. "You will front me the momey so I don't lose my pack?" I nod. "What do you want in exchange?" I shake my head. "Nothing." He gives me a look.

"My sister is your mate. Isn't she?" I nod. "Yeah, your wolf submitted to her." He chuckles. "You don't have to. I will figure something out. Rossy thinks she can get mom's jam recipes in grocery stores. We just need a plan." Of course she does. My mate is so smart and a hard worker.

"Let me help. I don't ask for anything in return. I just want my mate to feel safe and be able to stay in her home." He runs his hand down his face.

"Are you sure? I don't want you feeling obligated becsuse you are mated to my sister" I shake my head. "It's a done deal. No-one has to know. This will stay between us, my father and our financial advisors." We shake hands. " I must confess something to you now" that catches me off guard. "What?" I ask. "Amerie is my fated mate." Oh sh1t. We are both mated to eachother's sisters. "See. We're family, and family helps eachother out. Now more thsn ever, we have to stick together." He nods. "Wait, so, why is Paul claiming he's her mate? Why the f*ck is he here, lying?" I want to knoe too. "We will have to keep an eye on him. I honeslty dont trust him or his Alpha." Raine just nods. "Keep this between us. Now, let's go before anyone notices we have been gone."

We head out, and I am ecstatic when I see my mate. She is serving food to the whole pack and their guests. "She takes initiative and doesn't think she is better than anyone. She doesn't expect to be served because she is the Alpha's sister. A true Luna in the making," my wolf is right. "You are all in for a treat. My sister has been helping in the kitchen, and she found all of mom's recipes, so the food here is still amazing," Raine tells us. His mom was always the better cook between her or my mother. We all always preferred to eat here. "Grab a plate and get in line." he tells us all.

I watch that piece of sh1t hurry over to her. She serves him, but moves right alone. I sit back and wait until everyone grabbed food so she isn't as busy when I go up there. I grab a plate and walk over to her. She gives me a sad smile, but it's still beautiful to me. "What would you like?" she asks. " I walk over to the other side and ask her what she wants. "You already served everyone else. Let me serve you. What would you like?" She blushes but tells me a little of everything is fine. I serve her plate, and I serve my plate. "Where are you sitting?"

"I can carry my plate." I shake my head. "You've done enough. I got you." She gives me a small smile and walks to an empty table. I follow her to her seat. I place her plate infront of her. "Can I join you?" She looks surprised by my question. "Oh, but the Alpha table is over there," she points towards her brother. "I know, but I'd rather sit here, with you." She nods.

"You may sit here, Alpha," I chuckle. "You don't have to call me Alpha, Rossy. You can just call me Axel." she smiles, but shakes her head. "I wouldn't want anyone to get the wrong impression. Only mates and close friends call their Alpha by their first names." she says softly. I decide to push a bit.

"But, you and I are friends, aren't we?" she shrugs. "Are we?" She asks.

"Yes. We have known eachother our whole lives. I want you to see me as a friend and someone you can trust." She smiles and nods. "Okay, friend" We eat in comfortable silence.

"Oh, wait right here. Don't move. I have a surprise for you." She walks back into the kitchen and returns with a plate. She places it infront of me. "You get the first slice of dessert." She pushes the plate towards me. This looks amazing. "What is it?" Her eyes light up and her smile gets bigger.

"I think I perfected mom's apple pie pull apart bread. It's like French toast, but better, and you can have these at any time of the day, not just breakfast." I take a bite and moan. This is heavenly. "This is what being mated to her will get us" my wolf is high off his mate right now.

"I've never had anything as amazing as this. Wow. This is so good, Rossy." She smiles even bigger amd her cheeks turn pink. I love that sh1t.

F*ck, It's going to be hard going back home, and leaving her here tonight. These next 2 years will be torture, but she is worth it.
