CHAPTER 21
SKYLAR
The ride to the city was both tense and quiet. I shifted uncomfortably in the backseat and the ride seemed to take longer than I remembered. Neither Gideon nor Blair said a word and I could see Blair's displeased look through the rear-view mirror.
"We're here," said Gideon before getting out of the car. Blair rolled her eyes, "here we go. Yes teacher." She mocked but Gideon only ignored her attitude. Both of us got out of the car and I realized we were in a dirty, dark alley. "What are we doing here?" I asked confused.
"See that?" Asked Gideon pointing to a slight, almost invisible, shimmering on the ground. I stepped closer to get a better look, I had never seen something like that.
