"Mia, it's so good to see you again," Mr. Blake says, motioning for me to take the seat in front of his desk. "What can I do for you today? Do you have questions about the assignment?"
I take a seat, smiling nervously. I've thought long and hard about this decision over the past two weeks and I'm confident I'm doing the right thing. Still, I can't deny that it stings a little to let an opportunity like this slip through my fingers. I take a deep breath and sit up straight. "Mr. Blake, I want to sincerely thank you for this opportunity. When I was in college, if someone would've told me I'd have an opportunity to work for ESPN, I probably would've fainted."
He chuckles and his bright, easy going smile eases my nerves. "I'm sensing there's a but coming."
