I didn’t understand what was going on with Jess. She was acting funny. She seemed highly emotional and when I tried to hand her that wine glass, she almost vomited at the sight.
I decided to get her into bed. Maybe she just needed rest. She didn’t argue, she looked completely exhausted and quickly climbed in, before settling down.
I was lying in bed with her curled up against my chest. I could hear her soft snores, letting me know that she had finally fallen asleep.
