*Della* While trying to write something—anything—for my book, a message from Donald appeared on my phone. Picking up the device, I unlocked it and read his message. 'Hi, Della. Good morning! It's a beautiful morning because every time I wake up, I remember you are in my life one way or the other. Even though we've yet to be a thing, I cherish the time we spend together.' I read his message with a blank face because nothing seemed to interest me about it. I was used to waking up to Mr. Cary's text, and he was the only one I wanted to send me morning texts.
