Kayne had gone for his usual trainings with the pack, something which I still think, the alpha brought out just so Kayne would be forced to make friends with other members of the pack, regardless of if he wanted to or not.

After all, there was no way to drag a wolf from his mate. So the Alpha must be doing the next best thing. Which was distracting Kayne from looking into my r**e case. Something which I didn’t tell Kayne to leave even though I wanted him to.
He might reveal something along the way which might break him. Like the fact that that was the attempt which worked, there were attempts, more painful attempts which didn’t.
