“Una,” I say as tears fall down my cheeks. I am finally holding my daughter. It only took three years, but I am holding her. I pull back to look at her green eyes that look so much like mine and my mother’s. “You are so beautiful,” I say while choking up.
“Why are you crying, Mommy?” Una asks with a reptilian-like head tilt.
I stroke her curly hair, “I am so happy to meet you finally.”
Una smiles, “I missed you.”
I look at Fergus, who shrugs, “You told her who I was.”
“Every day since she was born,” Fergus confirms.
I wrap my arms around Una and rise to my feet.
“And she will never have to leave you again,” Fergus says.
“Thank you,” I whisper as he touches my arm, causing Caspar to growl.
Fergus pulls his hand up and throws it in the air, “Sorry,” He mutters.
