“S-Slow down, Miles! We’re going to fall,” I stammered, my heart hammering against my ribs as he dragged me along with a tight and unrelenting grip. I had no idea where he was taking me.
We rushed past the restroom—only for him to suddenly skid to a stop.
Miles took a quick step back, his eyes darting around as if making sure no one was watching. Then, without warning, he yanked me inside.
The moment he let go, I staggered back, gasping for air, my chest rising and falling as I struggled to steady my breathing.
“W-what the hell was that?” I finally managed, pressing a hand to my heart as I looked up at him. “If you had something to say, you could’ve just—oh, I don’t know—said it? Instead of dragging me all the way in here like some kind of kidnapper.”
