Aithana and Alany had taken care of me as if I were part of their family, which made me feel good in the midst of everything.
Julia arrived from Italy last night. I was on my way to her house. I missed her a lot. Julia's door opened, and I found Mrs. Spencer.
"Ely, come in. Welcome. Nice to see you here. You hardly ever visit us anymore," she said, hugging me affectionately.
"I know. I'm sorry. I don't have time," I excused myself.
"Oh, daughter, I heard you are working now. You are an exceptional girl."
I scratched my nose, feeling a little uncomfortable by her compliment.
"Ely!" Julia's voice shouted, coming down the stairs as if there was an emergency. She hugged me effusively when she reached me.
