Chapter 28
When Chad, Lanie, Richard, and Svetlana returned to Golden Moon, the first thing Lanie did was tear Ryker apart with her words.
“HOW COULD YOU LOSE HER! SHE’S YOUR MATE FOR F*CK’S SAKE!?” Lanie screamed at the top of her lungs, her goddess aura radiating in waves. Usually, Ryker wouldn’t take too kindly to being disrespected, but he knew better than to back talk to Lanie at that moment, because she was right. As Rain’s mate, he should have been more diligent about where she went.
“Lanie, stop. Screaming at him isn’t going to help us find her any faster,” Chad gently soothed her.
“Chad’s right, Lanie,” Richard interjected. “At the end of the day, Rain is a grown woman, and she chose to leave the pack territory.”
“What if the buyer took her?” Lanie asked.
