“Yeah, you most definitely said that sh*t out loud,” Wyatt told Lanie. Her jaw dropped in terror, and she felt Chad’s eyes gazing down at her. She slowly looked up to meet his stare, and all she could see was surprise, confusion, and then delight.
“Uh…”
“Lanie, are you saying you want to have a pup?”
“Um—I—Uh—Um—Yes… I mean no … I mean uh … sh*t,” Lanie mumbled and turned beet red in embarrassment.
“Don’t be embarrassed, Lanie. It’s normal to want to have babies with your mate,” Allie cheerfully said, hoping to make Lanie feel better. “You love him, and he loves you. Why wouldn’t you want to start a family with him?”
“But we already have Killian,” Lanie retorted.
“So? Who says you can’t have more?” Allie asked.
“I don’t want him to think that he’s not enough,” Lanie repl
