It was a difficult climb. The slate rocks were continually sliding and making it hard to ascend. It was a wise choice not to bring the horses up. At one-point, Josh had stepped onto an area that started to completely give way on him, causing a minor rockslide beneath him. Luckily, Damien had quick reflexes and was able to pull Josh to safety before he went down with the rocks.
“You alright Josh?” Serenity asked in concern.
“Sure, considering the fact that my body was almost tenderized for any nearby predators, I am doing quite well.” Josh smirked and secured his footing better.
