Luke hesitated, his fist hanging in the air. He hadn’t thought this plan through entirely. When he’d driven over here, he’d only wanted to see if he could get some answers.
Mostly, he wanted to talk with his father-in-law. Luke knew he’d been a jerk for not seeing him before now.
Before Luke knocked, though, he heard a woman’s voice say behind him, “Hello?”
He turned to see Alex coming up the walkway. She c****d her head to the side, a gesture that was so similar to Jocelyn that Luke had to restrain a smile.
The two sisters didn’t look alike, though. Where Jocelyn was fair, Alex was dark. Where Jocelyn was slender, Alex was curvy. They both had similarly shaped eyes and the same stubborn chin, Luke noticed.
