DAMIEN’s POV
I called an urgent meeting with the elders the next morning to inform them that the chase would happen that evening. It had to take place in the evening because after the whole thing, a wolf and his mate were supposed to spend some quality time together away from the pack house. It was almost like a human honeymoon, but Scarlet and I were clearly not going for a honeymoon despite what I had planned. Her heat being days or hours away meant that by the time we got to our destination she would probably be in heat already.
So meant that the two days away from the pack would be spent by me getting her to feel better and probably getting her pregnant. As pleasurable and fun as that sounded it was a tiring exercise.
