DAMIEN POV
After Olivia told Scarlet which way to take and gave me feedback stating she had taken her advice, I got started on my side of the plan. All I had to do was mislead the rest of the wolves and then catch up with Scarlet. I knew this would be considered cheating but with Scarlet’s frail state I didn’t to have a full on chase and risk losing her. So far there had been no sign of Alice much to my relief.
After I had lead the unmated wolfs a safe distance away from Scarlet I sneaked away to catch up with her. I ran for an hour before reaching a place where I could clearly detect her scent.
But it wasn’t only her scent I detected, she was with another female. As I emerged from the trees I approached the two wolves with caution still not sure who the other wolf was.
