"This better be important," I whispered.
"Did you find something?" Adrian completely ignored what I said.
"No."
"Evaline called you in her room," there was a slight shift of the tone in his voice.
"To give me some tea and tell me to interact with people but before she could say something else her guards came to call her," I replied with honesty.
Adrian did not respond.
"I do not know where she went," I added when he stayed silent.
"Evaline would not share such details with you."
"Do you know where she left?"
"I have a hunch."
I frowned.
"Every once in a while she disappears. Only her loyal subjects know what secrets she hides and they would never open their mouths," Adrian said through gritted teeth, probably thinking about the man who killed himself before saying a word again
