Jedediah
Chapter 28
Three days passed before Bart returned to the packhouse. When he crossed the border, the guards put on duty to keep an eye out for him immediately alerted Andre that Bart had returned via radio. When Andre received the notice, he went in search of Jedediah. When he couldn’t locate him, he happened to run into Vivienne.
“Vivienne, as-tu vu Jed?” (Vivienne, have you seen Jed?)
“Il est dans la salle de sport.” (He’s in the gym.)
“Merci!” Andre replied and went to the pack gym to look for Jedediah. As soon as he opened the door, he witnessed Jedediah breaking the speed bag they had just replaced. “Mon ami, that is the third bag you’ve broken this month,” Andre said to him.
“That’s why I bought a dozen when we last ordered the replacement,” Jedediah responded,
